We had to design beverage labels for the final project in Digital Imaging II, I convinced the teacher to let me design the currency for my eventual intergalactic/transdimensional empire, the Empire of Vergilius (Formerly known as Danland). However, she wanted me to do twice as much work as the other students were doing. When it became painfully obvious that I couldn't finish it on time, I contemplated what I could do to salvage my Imperial Bank Notes. I decided to go back and make them into the soda labels the teacher ORIGINALLY wanted.
Aeneas was on the One, and Augustus was on the Five. I didn't notice the typo in the nutrition facts until after it was graded.
Hehe. I can definitely see the influence of the banknote concept in the position of the portraits and the complex background pattern, among other things. Despite having to mash the two ideas together, this turned out very well, Dan. I can definitely see those wrapping around a can or bottle.
Imperator was the Latin word that "Empire" and "Emperor" were based on - an Imperator was an induvidual whom the Roman Senate bestowed far-reaching military command upon. Since I'm going with a Roman theme to my Empire, I decided to use Imperator instead of Emperor.
...Imperator?
