Just a quick status update, to let you know what I've been doing, and why I've not been posting here...
A month ago, I began work on my novel. It's been an on-again, off-again affair... kind of. Ironically, the average word count per day has been almost exactly 1667. In other words, while I've been writing a lot slower than in November, I actually have been writing by the recommended, NaNoWriMo guidelines. I just passed 50,000 words tonight, and I'm at the halfway point for the novel. It was originally going to be only 21 chapters, but I kept realizing that I needed to add scenes, and that bumped it up to what's now a projected 26 chapters. Certain characters became a lot more important than I intended, from my original outline. With luck, I'll have that finished before I go to Cape Cod this year.
I'm back to running my own D&D campaign, after Dara's short takeover for a filler game, and that's taken up some of my time, alas. Coupled with the fact that I'm going to resume my Dark Sun campaign as well, sometime this month... yeah. Planning for those two things has dug into my free time.
Lastly, I've gotten back into WH40K. Six months ago or so, I said that I was tired of it, and I was tired of the crowd that I gamed with. About a month ago, I bit the bullet and went back. I've sunk so many thousands of dollars into my collection that it would be a shame for it to go to waste. I've done surprisingly well; I've actually got a winning record, now, where I used to have a record that put [insert very bad sports team here] to shame. I'm going to try to not let it go to my head, because pride comes before the fall, but I'm grateful that I'm not losing spectacularly, again.

An Ending
It's been a fun ride, it's been a rough ride.
However... well, I think that it's time to say goodbye to this account. I used to think I'd stick to this one account for the entirety of my time here, but now I'm not so certain of it. I've ostensibly got hundreds of people following me, but I never hear from them anymore. My watch and friends lists are filled with names that I haven't seen or heard from in years. Some I'd love to see again, and some I'd prefer become blurry memories. I kind of feel like I'm living in the past, staying as Daitou. So... this is it.
I've tried reinventing my style a number of times, but now I'm going for a
Commissions: The Return?
Salutations, all.
I've been giving it some thought, and I'm thinking about returning to taking commissions. If I did so, do I still have anyone here who'd be interested? I'd like to weigh interest before I announce prices or put up any official announcement or style guide.
The Dragonslaying Maiden
UPDATE (6-9-2017)
The book is also out on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, if you're so inclined. If anyone's read the book, or you're going to, please let me know what you thought. I've sold a number and I'm very curious to hear what people have to say.

Salutations, ladies and gentlemen and other denizens of the internet.
I've just put in an application for Genericon, which will be happening early in March of next year and, while I haven't been confirmed as a vendor yet, I expect to get in; I was there last year, and I think I stand a good chance of making the cut this time, too. But, in the last year, I haven't had the chance to draw as many pictures as I'd like and so, between editing and publicity for my books, I feel the need to add to my repertoire.
That's where you come in. My last few offerings haven't gotten the attention I'd like, and I decided to ask for suggestions. What pict
